Professional Training to become a Qualified Hypnotherapist
The Diploma in Hypnotherapy offered by the HSOH School of Hypnotherapy has been assessed and validated at Practitioner Level by The General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC) UK.
Successful graduates will be awarded a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and are eligible for professional registration with The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR). The Hypnotherapy Association. Giving you not only a choice of who you affiliate yourself with, but peace of mind that your training is to a high standard. Giving you the confidence to successfully help your clients.
You can now choose to train Live Online from anywhere in the world and receive the same fully accredited Diploma

- Running consultations
- Inducing hypnosis and working with a client under hypnosis
- Learn specialist techniques, such as inner child work, Gestalt and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP).
This professional diploma training course gives you all of the tools and qualifications you need to become a fully qualified hypnotherapist.
On qualifying, you will be offered membership of the HSOH School of Hypnotherapy, and you will be eligible to apply for GHR registration.
We also provide ongoing help and support as you get your practice going.
Course Objectives
The course objectives are:
- To train students in the theory and practical applications of hypnosis. This includes the students experiencing the hypnotic state and learning how to induce this in others.
- To introduce and illustrate the theoretical and biological basis of hypnosis and how it can facilitate healing
- To give students confidence, knowledge and ability to facilitate therapy to clients in a professional manner
- To enable students to become qualified practitioners in the profession.

Study formats to suit you
What study format is best for you?
We run our Diploma in Hypnotherapy in a range of formats to help fit in with your training needs and busy life – some people can only train one day a week, and others prefer our 3-week, full-time course.
Diploma in Hypnotherapy – 16-week, intensive part-time course
Ideal if you have other commitments but want to complete the course in a shorter period, the intensive 16-week course runs one day per week.
Diploma in Hypnotherapy – 3-week, full-time course
An intensive, three-week, full-time course. If you want to qualify quickly, you can choose to study for three consecutive weeks, or you can take the course a week a time to suit your own study programme.
Studying in one-week modules has the advantage of allowing students to save on weekly travel costs and stay in Hampshire. That way, you can complete the Certificate in Hypnotherapy in the first week of study then continue to the full Diploma in Hypnotherapy course in an additional two, one-week sessions.
At the completion of each week, there will be a certificate of attendance.
Diploma in Hypnotherapy – Live Online Training
We now offer the option of training live online via video link for our Diploma in Hypnotherapy course. You will join live online and work alongside other online and classroom attendees. This is available for all Diploma courses.

On receiving your diploma you will be invited to join the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR). The Hypnotherapy Association. Which will enable you to register with the Complimentary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)
It’s always a good idea to register with a body like the ones above. The CNHC and National Hypnotherapy Society are also members of the Accredited Register (AR) that is a sign of quality and high standards issued by the Professional Standards Authority, who are an independent body accountable to Parliament.

In the course, we cover more about joining the registers and the various benefits they offer. Many registers offer discounts on courses, exclusive rates with insurers, newsletters to keep you up to date with everything hypnotherapy linked. They also have their own search areas for potential clients to search for a hypnotherapist adding to your marketing exposure.
The HSOH have a register, which you are invited to join on successfully completing your course. We hold quarterly meetings at the school, where we can all get together and talk about our successes and concerns. It’s a great way to pick up ideas about helping your clients, marketing your business and learning about different techniques.

The course fee to study for your Diploma in Hypnotherapy with the HSOH School of Hypnotherapy is shown below. Fees include workshop attendance, study materials, assessment, and examination fees. Courses are run in Hampshire (Clanfield) or you can join the classroom training live online, following the full programme with all practical elements included. On completion, you will receive a fully accredited diploma enabling you to register with the GHR.
